The Story Begins
Stage One - Changes
Once upon a time, Greg was known as a fierce and brutal man. He's been known to hire and capture, and even sell slaves. Originally he hired common men, advertising, that he could provide food, shelter and a place to call home. He offered safety from the wilderness, that swarms the Isle. As days passed Greg decided to take the tribe in a slightly different direction. The men who refused to follow his new beliefs had their tongue cut, and some were fed to the sharks. Greg only managed to bring along two of his former slave handlers. One without a tongue, and Aldren, who has and still has, an incredible passion for drumming the drums.
Recent events on the Isle has lately put Greg into trouble with his tribe. An early raid attempt on a small house, in the southern region of the isle, went horribly wrong. Apparently, a mysterious woman prevented the robbery. No-one involved in the raid attempt knows why Greg suddenly got cold feet, and he refuses to speak about it. The remaining members of Dreamstate are left confused, as they have never seen their leader, so indecisive before. The situation remains unsolved, and the following weeks will determine whether Greg still has the ability to take Dreamstate to the top of the food chain.
Stage Two - Betrayal
Nothing last forever. As he would have feared, he has been betrayed by his own family. His friends had started to doubt him, and his beliefs. Unable to justify their own actions. Unwilling to cope with the terms of Dreamstate. His two most beloved soldiers had chosen to look elsewhere, and the loss seemed unbearable to Greg. Nevertheless, Greg decided to initiate the final cut himself, from his now, former friends, and family. Leaving everything behind, besides the little girl and Dreamstates beliefs.
He faced the girl on his back and said: "Failure will never overtake us if our determination to succeed is strong enough" The girl, eyed him and responded: "But what about the woman, that you spent so much time with?" Tears started to drop from his eyelids and his body collapsed for a few seconds, before getting back on his feet. "Dreamstate matters - Women does not" he said, wiping the remaining tears off his face.
Dreamstate's goals remain the same. His vision had been blurred but had not been changed. Dreamstate will be back at full strength, but for, now it's time to settle in a new location. Greg was last seen departure from Dreamstate's facility, wandering towards the north.
Stage Three - 180 degrees
"Slow, slow and steady now, Algor" he said quietly as he settled his beloved friend next to the entrance of the house. He quickly slid off the back of the tyrannosaur and landed swiftly on the ground.Thoughts were flying back and forth inside his head. "I'm happy, but I'm not convinced yet", "What's going on inside her mind?", "Is her intentions less or equal to mine?" - these were just some of the questions, that he kept asking himself.
After several of hours of traveling in sand, the only thing he needed now was rest, in preparation for the upcoming visit. A small break from the occasionally downright evil thoughts, that he had recently burdened himself. Even though he was immensely tired, he kept smiling, as he continued to walk towards the entrance-door. As he were about to place his hand on the door handle, he felt some kind of presence behind him. He froze for a few seconds, before turning his body 180 degrees. To his relief, nothing was to be seen. He quickly turned and took the last few steps, entering the door.
"Oh my god! You're absolutely fabulous!" she screamed, as she jumped into his arms. Ehawee, the little girl, that Greg recently had taken under his protection was astonished, as she hadn't seen him for several days. "Those colors really match your personality" - she continued. He took at few moments to look down on himself, realizing, that he had forgotten to take his pink pants off. This time, he not only froze. His cheeks suddenly turned immensely red, and he rubbed his eyelids for a few seconds, showing obvious signs of being anxious. Ehawee's curiosity wasn't fully satisfied yet. Her cheeky questions and the sight of Greg's new clothes, made herself, laugh to a degree, that until this day was unknown to mankind. His face started to turn blood-red, and it seemed like his eyes were on fire, as he yelled "Get here you little monster!"
*After a couple of minutes of chasing each other around the house, destroying various furniture, he finally caught her*
Her eyes faced the direction of Greg, as she quietly whispered; "There's no shame in loving one another" - Greg immediately picked her up, walked towards the bedroom and shoved her into the bed, before bursting out: "You're going to sleep now. One more word, and I will make you walk the plank, alright?" He shut the door behind him, walked towards the center of the room, and found himself a chair. He sat down and took out a note from his pocket. As he started to write, he was struck by a thought "Maybe...Maybe I am in love?" He shook his head violently and began to write once again. "Dreamstate, Dreamstate, Dreamstate"
Stage four - A risk worth taking
"I will beat him continuously until he surrenders, and eventually begs for my forgiveness, if he ever does something like this again"
Greg was left disappointed, exaggerated and empty. The refusal, the denial, the feeling of being thrown aside were an obvious indicator, that couldn't be misunderstood.
He made the necessary preparations, sat down, got hold of a note and a pen, and began to write his confession:
"Dear Miss. R"
This will solely be my last message, and the last time, we'll ever achieve contact with each other.
I've felt something since the very first time, we met, and the feelings haven't vanished, nor will they ever.
I've come to known, that a certain man is deeply attracted to you, and I do not wish to cause any unnecessary conflicts.
Furthermore, I am scared for my own sake. I've known the man for quite a while, and his reputation and capabilities on this isle scare me. He seems to track your every move, and he's been around every time, we had a few moments for ourselves.
I am afraid, that I might not be able to continue, nor develop this friendship.
Till this day, I think you know my intentions, and if I proceed trying to find the key I need, I'd most likely end up dead and gone."
With an uncontrollable amount of love
The Man In Pink
*Suddenly a crackling familiar muffled voice appears on the radio*
"Is the pink man home?"
*He slammed his right fist hard onto the wooden wall, that resided next him, before replying:
"The man is not in a good mood, nor will he be in the near future"
*Greg picked up the radio, walked towards the railing, and dumped the radio into the water*
"Listen Ehawee. I want you to deliver this message to the girl, residing at the beach, close to our former home" - she took a hold of the note and hid it in her pocket.
Greg proceeded to walk towards the ladder and climbed onto the roof. "Time to feed the dragon, again" he quietly said to himself, before eyeing a familiar creature in the distance.
As the creature landed, he noticed the long flickering black hair, combined with the muffled voice, that occurred on the radio a few moments ago.
He turned his eyes towards Ehawee and said: "Hand me the note. It seems like I have the opportunity to deliver it directly"
As she came closer, he couldn't resist giving a tiny smile, but in the moment she spoke, he replied, before she could even finish her sentence: "What do you want" he said, with a tremendous amount of anger in his voice.
Never-the-less he was quickly convinced, that she actually cared for him.
"I'll forgive you... Maybe." He said, before seeing her take off in the distance.
Greg was left slightly disappointed with the relatively short visit. Never-the-less, he was able to smile, once again.
He took hold of the note and placed it in his pocket. "Maybe... Maybe it's a risk worth taking after all" he muttered to himself"
Shattered, broken. There would he lie. An empty feeling. A feeling of being utterly useless and just another brick in the cascade of friends, that she had. Ehawee turned to him and loudly screamed: "She's no good for you. She doesn't deserve you."
Tears were starting to fall from his cheeks once again. Under normal circumstances, he would have fought back and taught the little girl a lesson or two, but this time, he didn't. Instead, he collapsed onto the burning sand. "This is nothing, but a game" he shouted loudly, as he knitted his hands, and slammed both of his fists hard into the sand.
At this moment, Ehawee began to look slightly worried. She sat down on her knees and laid her hand softly on his shoulder, in an attempt to soothe him. The tears flowed unchecked down his cheeks and dripped from his chin. He was too hurt to cry or wail. He lied still as a rock, while the magnitude of his potential loss swept over him.
Suddenly Tero, the Pteranodon made a large squeak, as it were looking for attention all of a sudden. On the leg, a small letter was attached. He quickly walked towards Tero, got a hold of the note and started to read
He smiled and grinned slightly, but his joyous facial expressions quickly came to an end, as Ehawee took a hold of his shoulder and shouted directly into his ear, "She's taking you for a fool! Wake up, you fool."
He lowered his shoulders and rubbed off the remaining tears from his eyelids, cheeks, and chin. A deep breath was taken and his eyes turned towards the note once again. He stared intensely at the note, with saddened eyes, before he muttered, "Maybe, you are right.."
A murderer amongst us
"I will deny her existence, and leave her be. I will no longer participate in this game of lies and hidden truths!"
Ehawee turned to him and just about when she was about to speak, a familiar voice was heard on the doorstep of their home.
Chills ran down his spine, as he motioned Ehawee to stay absolutely quiet. "Sssshh" he vastly whispered.
A few moments later, the voice appeared to come closer and closer.
In a matter of seconds, the voice was interrupted by three semi-light knocks on the door and the voice appeared again, "Hellooooo, can we talk?" Greg took a hold of himself, walked slowly towards the door and had a firm grip on the handle, before sighing slightly. He twisted the handle, opening the door, and there she was. Chills ran down his spine once again. His brain and heart were filled with twisted ideas and emotions. Awkwardly, and in an immediate response to recent events, he tried to avoid eye-contact. His eyes were flickering, as he stared at the wooden floor, below her feet. She was so adorable.
She quirked an eyebrow, as she got hold of a pen and a note and motioned him to follow her inside. She handed him the note as she finished writing.
"It's time to prove your worth - I think I am being followed, therefore, listen carefully to my next few notes. Pretend we're talking about the process of catching an angler fish"
*She proceeded to write and hand him another note:*
"A man came to my doorstep and openly admitted to having murdered Corell, without hesitation - He sat beside the gravestone and did not regret his actions - He shall be punished. I will have a talk with him, alone."
Feelings and emotions were cast aside. He instantly forgot everything, that he promised himself, as he made her realize that she shouldn't go alone. "Bring Chaos and some of your most trustworthy friends - Don't take any unnecessary risks! You don't know, what this man is capable of."
*She smiled faintly and gave him one last note:*
"Come to my house, as soon as you are ready. I have a plan. Desmond and Charlotte will participate and help us"
On the way, he was struck by a thought "This is the chance to prove myself worthy and be beneficial to this alliance. Don't forget the reason why you are doing this, Greg"
Upon arrival, Greg met Desmond again. A short explanation of the ongoing events was given. Des and he walked inside the kitchen and remained silent, waiting for the signal. He took a brief moment to look at Des and whispered: "Where's Charlotte?", "She couldn't be here."
She turned on her radio and tuned into channel "1"
"Angel.. I need clarification. I need to understand why. Would you mind stopping by in a few?"
Back to life
*His eyes stared into the burning fire as he drew a pen and a note. His eyes were empty as a night sky without stars. He wept the remaining tears away and got a hold of his pen*
A new chapter, a new beginning.
I have been blind. I have been disoriented. My vision and goals have been blurred. I will not settle for less. I want it all. I want all of you. I must apologize for my actions. I must apologize for everything. Some day, I hope that she manages to free herself from her past. I hope, that she one day will lower her emotional chains and I sincerely hope that she eventually will come together with the man, who truly deserves her. I am disgusted with myself for even trying and I must let him know. He deserves her more than anyone else.
I am so sorry, Ehawee. I should have trusted you. You were truly right from the very beginning of this mess. I have been a fool. I have been rightfully accused of being hopelessly blind. What did I expect? I don't know.
I have received nothing, but painful secrets, and a variety of unpleasant truths. I have been humiliated and let down. I see that now. He was right.
It's time once again to look forward. Forget the past and start a new existence.
Ehawee, please come back.
Daddy misses you.
*As the last letter were drawn, he furiously crumpled the note, and threw it into the fire*
A decision to last
I'm on the verge of breaking. I cannot comfort myself with lies and hidden truths anymore. It doesn't matter. They know - Charlotte knows. She is the only one, that sees straight through me. Did she realize, who I really have become? She's cute but weakened. Perhaps It's time for her to "accidentally" disappear. One by one, I shall make them fall. No.. I can utilize in this situation. I finally convinced them all, that I can be trusted.
I am in their safe zone. They trust me. I saved both of them. I aided the only man, who stands in my way. I'll let him lie next time. No! I'll bloody murder him. He's weakened. It'll be so easy.
Charlotte has to go first. A smooth, efficient execution. They are all weakened. It's time to strike.
My past is haunting me. It's dragging me back. The recent encounters with Ron, (Damm, I've missed her) reminded me of who I was in the past. I miss it. I miss the feeling of control. I was evil. I am evil. I want to get away. I hate her and everybody in that godforsaken hole. She doesn't matter anymore. She's long gone now. What are the odds? The only two women, that I ever came close to love. Mindwiped several times. Wait...
Mindwipe? This might be the solution. This is the perfect solution. I can go back to old roots and start over. I don't have the courage or the willpower to enforce murder on her friends. I'm puzzled and I can't pick a side on his island. I choose to live amongst my friends, who only has one goal on their daily schedule. To get away from the Island. I choose to forget. Ehawee will manage. Xepher will take care of her. I will miss her. She's the only one I will miss.
Just a small sip.. Take me back to the time, where I first met Ron. Please..
*His were empty. Sweat rolled down all over his face. He sat down and got a hold of the purple mixture and let out a long-drawing sigh. He closed his eyes as the cup of mixture touched his lips*
This better work.
Reunited - At last
*Vicious wind would appear on the horizon as the rain seemed to last forever. On the southern beach, a man would be found, dressed in all white clothing. He would lie on his back, gazing at the stars above. His body were covered in various wounds and the pain was close to unbearable. Several thoughts struck his head that night*
"I've lost everything. I've lost the few people, that I truly love and care for. I've betrayed and humiliated their friends and even captured their children. Am I truly evil or is this the work of the godforsaken purple mixture?"
"I wanted that horrifying woman dead. She brought me pain and suffering, despite my attempts to dwell into the circle of protection. I never did anything wrong, yet she would question my appearance every single time. I'm glad that she fell.. Or did she? Honestly, I can't recall it anymore. I would like to see her die.. but I would never do it myself..
People should have seen my evil grin when she took that last step and accidentally fell off the edge of the snowy cliff. I swear I couldn't stop laughing as the crackling sound of her bones breaking appeared when she hit the cliff ground."
"You should have seen the look on his face, when I told him, that his beloved was balancing between life and death. I will never forget that very moment, neither will he."
"Ron is amazing, yet she didn't look exactly pleased as she sighted me in the cage. God, it's been ages since we last had a proper conversation. Hunting trips, the capturing of a bear. Heck, I even broke her leg once, yet she would still attend to see me. Could she even recognize me? Was it her true self or were she still affected by the mixture?"
"One thing I do remember is that when Desmond drew his gun, I saw her pull a grenade out from her pocket. The grenade exploded."
But why the ... would she agree on killing me then? Did she change her mind at the very last second?"
"She's nothing. but a bloody woman. She's the only one that is willing to protect me at this point. She's my only hope of staying alive. She's the only one, that I care for. Her and my lovely daughter. I love you, Ehawee."
"This island is a nightmare now. I do not have much time left. Eventually, they will find me. Fuck, I can't even count the number of people, that wants me dead by now.
"Fucking mixture. As the days passes, my memory seems to get better. I recall my one true love and her friends. That is what matters now - Dreamstate does not"
"There is only one place I can seek shelter now."
Days and nights seem to blend together these days. My vision remains blurry and my headache is getting worse. Fucking mind wipe.. Here’ I thought, that the damage would be permanent. I am alone and more than half of the island wants me dead. Give me one last opportunity to change.. For the sake of love to my child, Ehawee.
In the recent weeks I’ve been hiding from most. I’ve had close to zero conversations with people, yet the only man, I’ve encountered decided to imprison me.
Hell ya’ll, next thing I remember is waking up in a cage next to Parker and her retarded kid, who kept pointing that silly gun at me. I’ll have ya know, that I didn’t expect Desmond to arrive, but when he did I knew it was over. I didn’t care. I were prepared to die, yet I wanted to see my girl for the last time.
In the moments, that she took her first steps inside the hallway, I cried. I hoped, that I were able to change her mind in my very last moments, yet I could see, that she had already made up her mind.
Tears shattered down his face, as he proceeded to say one last thing: “Ehawee, I am sorry for the troubles, that I’ve caused. I love you, despite everything that has happened and I will always do”
*Desmond took hold of a medium-sized handgun and pointed it directly into Greg’s forehead*
It was over - Almost.
I’ve managed to cheat the inevitable, that goes by the same ”Death”. My insanity has increasingly gotten worse, yet I find comfort in my current surroundings. I shan’t’ leave these gates. They function as a protective barrier, that beholds my sanity. I will not risk any further interactions with the world, I will not risk endangering the relationship to my beloved daughter.
"I love you, Ehawee. Despite everything, you are my only reason, that I still walk this godforsaken stink hole of an island. I miss you and the few mentionable things, that we did together. I promise, that if I am to get another chance, I won’t let you down. My thoughts are upon you, every night. I miss you, baby-girl."
Yet, I am on the verge of breaking. I cannot withstand the pain of not seeing you, anymore. I can’t recall a night, that hasn’t ended with tears. I will withstand the pain, for as long as I can, yet I fail to see another reason to keep myself alive. Who has truly gone insane lately? I’ve seen the madness in your beloved company. I’ve taken notice of your aggressive behaviour, not only towards me. Is everything truly my fault? Or is Desmond and his evil gang manipulating you, to believe otherwise?
There is nothing left for me in this world. I’ve considered jumping off this Cliffside a dousin times. Everything would become easier. For myself, my daughter and my new friends at Banshou.
Life has recently given me an opportunity to develop a new way of living. I honestly do not know, wether if I will take it or surrender myself to the madness that I dwell in.
